Suspiciously Delicious

The other day, I picked up a new brand of bread called Finax Gyllengrova Havre (Swedish for “Golden Oats”, very roughly translated). And I'm seriously beginning to wonder what the heck they did to this thing, because it's the most delicious bread I've had in a long time. To make my confusion even worse, the bread is keyhole certified (a mark given to food products in Sweden if they fulfill certain requirements of being “healthy”, such as low fat and sugar contents—basically, keyhole foods are supposed to be healthier than other foods). In other words, I can't figure out what the catch is. Did they lace this stuff with heroin or something?

Assuming I'm not going to die from an oat overdose tomorrow morning, this bread is awesome. Pick some up if you're Swedish, you'll like it.

Would you please copypasta the ingredients? (Or send some over to Finland.) Curious.

Is that even legal? I mean, aren't there laws saying that each product should have an ingredients list?

Translation: Wheat flour, water, syrup, whole grain rye flour, shredded oats, wheat sourdough, whole grain oat flour, jam (sugar, apples, lingon, currant, preservatives, emulsifiers, acid), salt, yeast, some kind of fiber, vegetable oil.

No, seriously, this IS officially the best brown bread possible! (White remains some I had in Mumbai!) Makes you seriously consider settling in Sweden... Then again, the closest foodstore often runs out of stock.

BTW, the fibre is beet I think and the oil, rape seed.

Sugar beet fiber, to be precise. And yes, the oil is rapeseed oil, but it's typically known in the US as canola oil.

That's because calling it rapeseed oil would raise some serious eyebrows.

(Also, is it a new thing to have CAPTCHA images spell actual words? Or am I just getting lucky with my gibberish?)
